About Tart Farms
Nestled in Harnett County, North Carolina, Tart Farms is a small family-owned and operated farm dedicated to raising quality Blue Laced Red Wyandottes.

Tart Farms is run by Brooks Tart, his wife Ashley, and their two children, Blakeley and Cora. What began as a family interest quickly grew into a passion for preserving and improving one of America's most beautiful heritage chicken breeds.

Our Blue Laced Red Wyandotte journey began in 2019 when we started building our foundation flock. Since then, we have devoted countless hours to carefully raising, selecting, and improving our birds. We take great pride in producing healthy, high-quality chickens that showcase the beauty, character, and heritage of the breed.

As a family farm, our children have grown up alongside the flock and enjoy being part of daily farm life. From caring for birds to helping around the farm, raising poultry has become a family tradition that we are proud to share with others.

Our original flock was established from birds acquired through the breeding program of Ms. Mary Griffis, whose dedication to the breed helped inspire the foundation we continue to build upon today. Through careful selection and responsible breeding practices, we strive to preserve and improve the qualities that make Blue Laced Red Wyandottes so unique.

Tart Farms is proud to be a member of the Wyandotte Breeders of America and an active part of the poultry community. We enjoy connecting with fellow breeders and enthusiasts, sharing knowledge, and helping others discover the joy of raising these remarkable birds.

We are also proud participants in the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP #55-1854) and maintain both U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean and U.S. Avian Influenza Clean status. These certifications reflect our commitment to flock health, and providing customers with healthy, quality birds.
